I took yesterday and today off work for no reason. Yesterday I went to a thrift store down the street from my house and ended up purchasing THREE books (Golding, Vonnegut, Where the Red Fern Grows) for a grand total of 83 CENTS. This is why I love thrift stores, and also why I am so cheap…why spend up to 12 $ on a book at a real store when I can get one that uses no new resources for only a quarter!
This morning I went to the farmers market, the exact opposite of cheap. I believe in sustainable food though, so I’m willing to pay extra for certain things. I bought about three pounds of tomatoes to eat with salt, and other things that will work well to create a pizza. So that’s on the menu for tonight–stay tuned for a post. I forgot to get mozzarella but I’ll figure something out.
